The rest of my workshop cards

Here are the other two cards from my workshop on Saturday.
It was so much fun hanging out with everyone and making these fun cards.
Again, still using the Roxy paper pack and the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge from Close to my Heart.

This last card is using the Stella paper pack from our newly released, (release date is Feb. 1st) catalog and a cute wreath stamp set called Remarkable Wreath.
Enjoy your day,

Goodbye snow, hello rain

Well, my resolution to post more often was quickly cut short by our internet being down for 6 days. ARGH! I thought I was going to have withdrawls!
Sad as it may be, life revolves around electronics and my internet is one that I cannot handle being without.
Every year however, we take a weekend off and visit the ocean for 4 days where there actually is no cell phone service, no internet connections, no cable t.v. and barely any radio stations. The ones we do get play old rock and roll and it has lots of static, which strangely, I enjoy, as it adds to the ambiance of our weekend. Contradicting to what I just said in the beginning of the paragraph, I actually like the break. We have to drive several miles inland to get cell phone coverage, and I am ok with that. It is such a nice break from the everyday need to be connected to a gadget. The music we sometimes choose to listen to is relaxing, and being one of the only stations the radio actually picks up, it is a nice change from our everyday norm.
Now that the snow is gone, the rain and wind are here to make a mess of our yard with broken tree limbs and debris. So, I am inside, warm and cozy, working on my workshop coming up.
I have been finding some cute owl crafts. Cards and such. I'm not a huge owl person, but man these little guys are cute.
These are ones I found on pinterest. Haven't made any of my own yet, but am working on them.

How cute are they??
Enjoy your day,

Snow, ice, cold

Well, true to the predictions, the snow came and dumped. I would venture to say about 6 inches at least in our area. This morning though, everything is an icicle. I had to run out for an errand and was not able to go faster than 10 miles and I've got a big SUV. Not fun.
As treacherous as it can be out there driving, I always marvel at how beautiful it is when things are iced over and snow covered.
Here is a  photo as the snow fell 1/17/12 evening.
This was our front walk way the next morning.
Kids getting some sled time in.
 Icicles off the roof.

This one is from today. As I left to run my errand, I noticed how the ice made the color of the tree so vibrant. Just amazing to me how the water on everything gets captured and frozen.
 Brrrrr.
 Our backyard.
My ladder that usually holds beautiful flowers in the flower boxes fastened to each step.

Stay warm where ever you are, and enjoy your day,

Snow storm coming!!

As Christmas and New Years has winded down, and the decorations have all been put away, I find myself busier than ever. Posting a new post on my blog has literally been on my mind pretty much everyday, but to actually come down here (into my craft/office area) and post something seems to get pushed to the back burner by the time the day ends.
I've taken lots of pictures that I thought would be fun to share, and yet, here it is, almost 20 days since my last post and I can't come up with a single topic to post about.
We are expected to have a rather large snow storm come through our area here in the next few hours. The largest, the news said, than any in the last 5 years. Eeek. That worries me a little.
We got a phone call today from the school district that school is already canceled tomorrow.
I have lots of projects to work on that I am excited to share, so my new years resolution, (1 of many) is to post more consistently.
So, to leave you until tomorrow, :-)
here are a few photos of things I found on pinterest that I enjoy and want to share.

Enjoy your day,
