After a long day at work today, plus a super long commute, I came home to my sweet girl making the most decadent of desserts. These looked like they belonged on the Food Network Channel! And they were so yummy! They are called Mini cakes, but instead of a traditional cake taste and texture, they were sweet and a little crunchy, like the sugar caramelized on the edges or something. She filled them with home made whip cream, strawberry preserve, a lemon sugar glaze on top with a little more strawberry preserve on top of the glaze topped with a fresh slice of strawberry. O-M-Gosh! Talk about a little slice of paradise. How cute would these be for a baby shower?
