Lovely fall

I know I posted a little while back about loving Fall, but I wanted to share again.
My youngest and I met my husband for lunch today and went to a park to eat. While it rained last night, and everything is still wet and cold, I couldn't help but notice the beautiful trees and leaves that were surrounding the park we were in. I am such a detailed person that these leaves caught my eye. I probably looked silly crouched down on the ground taking these photos, but who cares? I love the way they look and wanted to share.

I am just in awe of the colors.

Gracie

This is our cat. She is an American Curl and has the best temperment. She's great with the kids and in my opinion is just beautiful.
I spied her resting in front of my crown pillow and thought she looked cute there with it above her, because sometimes I think, she does think she is a princess. :-)
This one was sweet I thought too. She was soaking up the sun that was coming in from the back sliding door.
And then just a close up of her.

Some fun pics we took at the end of the summer

A friend of ours let us use his barn as a back drop. I was looking for some perfect/professional pictures that I thought I could pull off myself of my kids. What I got was definitely not perfect nor 'professional' looking pictures. For one, I don't think my kids 'posed' like I thought they should have because it was 'mom' who was taking the pictures.
After looking at the finished photos the first time, and of course several hundreds times later, what I have concluded is that in fact, they are perfect. They are exactly what my kids are. Fun, silly, sweet, energetic kids. And I love how the pictures reveal that. Those are actually my favorite types of pictures. The ones where their personalities come shining through the pictures instead of perfect little people that were posed in sometimes not so comfortable angles.

Notice the little guys shoe on my daughter's leg and the middle guy looking at her leg. That cracks me up

Christmas ideas

Here are some cute ideas again from Jeanette Lynton's blog. I just love looking at her projects.

Both of these items made using the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge.

Ruffles and Rust

I went to the Ruffles and Rust show yesterday, that runs through today, up in Monroe, Wa. I went with a good friend of mine who is new to the antique shopping frenzy. She says she liked it and would also like to go to the Farm Chicks show next year with me. YAY!!
It rained yesterday, but that didn't stop us from having a good time indoors. It was twice as big as last year, with twice as many people. I just wanted to share some fun photos with you of what it was like.

Thirty-one

A good friend of mine recently signed up to sell Thirty-one gifts. It is a great company that sells totes, purses, accessories and more that help you organize your life and they have beautiful and fun fabrics to choose from too.
Here is what I purchased and am even more happy with it than I thought. I just love how these coordinate. To check out their website, go here.  This first one is a cute smaller tote with mesh pockets on both ends. Good for maybe crafts, a few groceries, bottles?
This one is an insulated tote that I use for lunch. It can keep foods hot or cold. I love the two fabrics used. (See the other side for the other fabric used in the next picture)
The dotted on in the middle is just a zippered pouch. I added the nail polish so you can get an idea of the sizes. They are good sizes, but not too big and bulky. Just what I like.

Invitation

My daughter's 12th birthday is coming up and after much deliberation decided she wanted a Hello Kitty birthday themed party.
I just love Hello Kitty. We happen to have a store in our mall that carries a ton of Hello Kitty stuff, so this will be fun to shop for the party.
I also love to make my children's invitations and thought I would see what I could come up with Hello Kitty wise. This was made only using CTMH's Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
